Good Counseling Good Counseling is a contemplative approach to psychological wellness. By blending aspects of Western psychology with Eastern immediacy practices, contemplative psychotherapy holds the view that our actual experience is the door to self acceptance and authentic change. When we remove the obstacles that keep us from our immediate experience, we not only develop a lighthearted clarity towards ourselves, but we cultivate an ability to compassionately work with ourselves under any circumstance. This sense of well being affects every aspect of our life – especially our significant relationships. If the above speaks to you and you are experiencing relationship difficulties or if you are struggling with anxiety, confusion or depression, you could benefit from this approach. Please note that while contemplative psychotherapy is derived from Buddhist teachings, it doesn’t require any knowledge, interest or participation in meditation or Buddhism. Contemplative psychotherapy simply offers secular and logic based tools to free us from unnecessary struggles.
