About Me
I earned a Master’s degree in Contemplative Psychotherapy from Naropa University in Boulder, Colorado and have over 10 years experience in the field of human services. I had the privilege of studying with Bruce Tift, MA, one of the leading clinicians in contemporary Buddhist psychotherapy. My personality is genuine and lighthearted and my counseling style is engaged, practical and clear. My life’s work is to help people be at peace with themselves through pairing Western psychotherapy with Eastern immediacy practices. About Dara “Dara McKinley embodies the best of the contemplative model.
Her dedication to her craft and extensive training are clearly reflected
in her ability to help clients identify the core of an issue with compassion
and ease. To work with Dara is to avail oneself of a healing blend of
optimism and realism that has the power to facilitate profound change.”
